Debra is our registered dental hygienist. She received a B.A. from Penn State Univ. and an assoc.degree in science from the City Univ. of New York. Over the course of her 15 years experience as an R.D.H., Debra has continued to expand her education through post-graduate courses at the Pankey Institute, Univ. of Florida and New York Univ. where she received her license to administer anesthesia in 2006. She completed the Mastery Level at the Center for Professional Development with Dr. Michael Shuster, is a member of the American Dental Assoc. as well as Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Currently she teaches Dental Ethics with Dr.Cournot at Columbia Univ.. Yearly, Debra attends a 3 day intensive enabling her to remain up to date with current evidence-based protocols, broaden her communication skills and evaluate new products in dentistry. As a member of our team, Debra recognizes the uniqueness of each patient and customizes care at every visit. Through our periodontal and decay prevention programs, patients experience the benefits of taking control and improving their oral health. When she's not in the office, Debra enjoys bike riding, swimming and teaching Pilates.
