Xylitol: Naturally Sweeten Your Life...

Xylitol is a natural sweetener that comes from plants and trees and is found in many fruits and vegetables.  Xylitol is approximately the same sweetness as table sugar.  It has 40% less calories and has a very low glycemic index, making it ideal for diabetics.

Xylitol is a normal part of our body's glucose metabolism.  It is a 5 carbon structure that makes it impossible for the streptococcus bacteria to produce the acid that breaks down enamel.  Xylitol also stops the bacteria from secreting the sticky substance that makes plaque.

Using Xylitol in a therapeutic regimen over a period of time will greatly diminish the strep bacteria population in the mouth.  As healthy bacteria takes over, the PH levels in the mouth will rise from an acidic to a more alkaline state.  This leads to a reduction in future decay.

Another benefit of Xylitol Therapy is the reversal of decay.  As long as the enamel has not broken down, we can inactivate the bacteria inside the tooth.  Then with the remineralization of the enamel by adding the necessary building blocks contained in Xylitol products, we can return a tooth to a state resistant to future decay.

Xylitol is available in many forms...toothpaste, mouthwash, gums, mints, granular form and others.

Dental Implants: An Option in Smile Restoration1

"Nothing can take the place of a healthy set of teeth, but when disease or an accident ends in tooth loss, it's good to know you have some options in restoring your smile."

One key advantage of implants is that they fuse to the jawbone, offering stable support to artificial teeth.  Dentures, bridges or individual teeth mounted to the implants won't slip or shift in your mouth--an especially important benefit when eating and speaking.

This secure fit also helps replacement teeth feel more natural than conventional bridges or dentures.

Mouthguards: Protect your teeth!

Do you feel like your teeth have become shorter or have you recently fractured a tooth?  Mouthguards protect teeth from wear and tear associated with grinding, and also protect crowns, dentures and veneers from damage that would require them to be replaced.  Our mouth guards are hand crafted in our onsite lab made to order. We will customize each mouthguard so that it is comfortable and effective for you.  Please ask any of our staff to give you a full explanation if you are interested.

Veneers
Veneers can help brighten front teeth that have permanent stains or discoloration that can't be whitened.  They may be used to correct small gaps between the front teeth, or to fix teeth that are poorly shaped or slightly crooked.2
